Outdoor event at Fall River Elks Lodge with a band performing.

Fall River Elks Lodge #118 has been part of this city's fabric for generations. The lodge at 4500 N Main St is the kind of place a 70-year-old Vietnam veteran describes as one of the best he has ever attended, where the love, care, respect, and empathy felt genuinely beyond anything expected. That is not an accident. It is what the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks builds into every lodge, and Lodge #118 delivers it with particular warmth.

In recent years the lodge has invested in itself. A new bar anchors a refreshed interior, the dance floor shines again, and the lighting has been brightened throughout, turning a storied hall into a space people actually want to celebrate in. Wedding receptions, Halloween parties, holiday banquets, and community fundraisers all find a home here. The space adapts because the members make it work.

With a 4.5-star rating across more than 114 reviews, the lodge earns its reputation visit by visit. Whether you are a lifelong Elk, a veteran looking for a community that understands your service, or a Fall River resident curious about membership, the door at North Main is open.

What We Offer

The lodge offers a full calendar built around the Elks' founding pillars: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. Members gather for regular meetings, social nights, and community fundraising events that send dollars back into Fall River schools, veteran programs, and local families in need.

The event hall is available for private rentals including wedding receptions, anniversary parties, milestone birthdays, and corporate gatherings. The renovated bar and polished dance floor make it a legitimate venue choice, not just a fallback option. The kitchen supports catered events, and the staff works with you to configure the space for your headcount and style.

Veterans' programming is a point of genuine pride. Lodge #118 actively honors those who served, hosting recognition events and connecting vets with Elks National Foundation resources. Membership is open to U.S. citizens who believe in God, are 21 or older, and are proposed by a current member.

"I put a one so people would read this. I only had one issue with the venue and I want people to see it and be warned. I had my wedding reception at The Elks this past summer 2015. It was a pretty nice hall for a decent price. When I went to scope it out the people were very friendly and helpful. We had to stay with in a budget so to have other things we wanted we went with this hall. The first problem we had is that we could not start setting up till 11 am... I was able to get people in around 1015 but when I asked if I could pay some even $100 to come in an hour earlier to set up they said no.... $100 to sit around for an hour. (my reception was at 3 and the ceremony at 1 so you can see why I would have liked the extra time) but it was fine I would just ask some more people to help set up. Now on my wedding day set up went great lots of people who care about us helped my sisters set up so it ended up being just enough time. The big issue that we had was the attendant. This was an older woman who I had not met before. She literally harassed my sisters, my DJ who is a good friend of mine, and some of my other guests. I wanted to pay the extra money to stay for another hour to enjoy the time with family and friends but my friends and family were getting so aggravated I decided not to. Not to mention she made my sister cry. After all this another worker came down that was very nice didn't see anything wrong, didn't say the music was loud or there was a mess (it is a wedding reception there are going to be messes) or any of the other crazy stuff the woman was saying and was appalled to hear what she was saying. This woman made my wedding day a nightmare for my sisters and some of my friends. If you are going with this place ask for a different attendant. They know who she is I think she is family so they wont get rid of her but she was so disrespectful and at someones WEDDING. No one should act that way. When my family left that day the place was completely cleaned up. Swept and everything (when I rented the hall they said that we would not have to clean up that that was part of the deal but the attendant demanded we did) There were just so many things she would not stop harassing my family about. I can't say she ruined my wedding day because I am now married to the love of my life but she sure did try and if my family and friends were not such respectful people it could have been really bad. I wish I could say it was a great experience but the way we were treated by that women was so poor I can not."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
